Taught by Katya Campbell
6 Week Professional Training Course
Meeting Tuesday evenings, 6-9pm
at The New York Conservatory Campus, 39 West 19th Street, NYC

November 7 – December 12 2023

The Audition Technique for Film/TV Professional Evening Class will meet once a week at The New York Conservatory campus for three hours on Tuesday evenings. Katya will be teaching her students how to visualize the scene from the writer’s and director’s point of view, build exciting and personal moments in every audition and tell the story of the scene authentically. You’ll practice rehearsing your audition in a way that connects you to your emotional life and your imagination. You’ll get current, up to date and very honest feedback about audition etiquette, making excellent self-tapes and communicating with casting directors. The final class will be with a NYC casting director (TBA).

Katya Campbell teaches Auditioning for Film and TV at NYCDA and has been coaching actors privately in NYC, LA, Atlanta and Vancouver for nearly a decade. Her clients and students have booked roles she helped them prepare for: TV’s LAW AND ORDER SVU, OZARK, GOSSIP GIRL, OUTER RANGE, and many films and plays. She loves creating vibrant, active, highly personal performances and instilling confidence, power, ownership and joy in actors. In addition to receiving her MFA from Rutgers University under William Esper, she trained in audition techniques with renowned coaches Ellen Parks, Ted Sluberski and Bob Krakower. An actress herself, she recently appeared opposite Oscar Isaac and Rachel Brosnahan on Broadway this summer in THE SIGN ON SIDNEY BRUSTEIN’S WINDOW.
